If you think of betrayals in the Cartoon Network Teen Titans cartoon, the case of Terra is likely to be the first to spring to mind. A young, powerful hero who was lured to the dark side and turned on her fellow heroes and friends. However, there was another betrayal - from the other side of the spectrum. Jinx was, for most of the show's run, a promising young villainess, in charge of the up-and.coming HIVE Five and with a passionate interest in being a naughty girl. But her change of heart came, carried by Kid Flash, and in the final battle of the series, she turned around and stabbed her former colleagues in the back. Clearly, a girl you needed to watch out for if you valued your safety, even if she was on your side.

Here, we have a portrait of Jinx in her Teen Titans redesign style. In the show, she looked a bit like a Teen Witch who had decided to become evil, but not had the heart to chuck out all the pink bits while she was re-arranging her wardrobe. This picture sticks faithfully to the design, while tweaking it for graphic effect.

And I have to say - it worked. This is a portrait of Jinx that you can keep on looking at and enjoying for quite a long time on end. The idea isn't exactly new - there must be hundreds of portraits of Jinx on this site. However, here, we really get the feeling of what the artist is trying to show us.

The background is simple and effective, and cases the figure nicely. The costume's design is, as I said, faithful to, but still looks more interesting than the original, especially through the slanted design of the points on the collar and the hairdo. Jinx's body and pose look alluring and beautiful, her expression is both inviting and mystical, while her eyes are stunningly rendered - I'd go so far as to say that they make the picture. That's one good-looking teen, but I wouldn't push your luck with her.

So. Final verdict? The artist has taken a simple concept and turned it into memorable art. Take a look at this picture, people, and see what you think. I believe it'll be very much worth your while.
